I think you should know something about my network I guess. The SolarWinds apps are very user unfriendly because I have basic knowledge about networking but still have no idea what to do here. Where do I go to from here? I thought there would be another way to enable SNMP on my router, but there is very little on this on the internet. ![]() ![]() Well, it tells me "login failed with *myusername* credentials" Now, I thought it just wants IP address like local hostname of the router, so that would be something about 192.168.0.1 and the login and password are the credentials that I always use to log on my router settings, right? So when I turn that app on, it wants IP address, a login and a password. I have downloaded SolarWinds SNMP enabler that would. It wants something called a community string and SNMP version, which I have no idea what is. I am familiar with how a network works (DHCP, MAC and IP adresses, Wake-On-Lan, IPv4) and everything but I have never came across something like this. If the bandwidth's were fine, I could finally turn to my ISP to solve the problem on their side.īut I have no idea how to use it. There is an app, and correct me if I am wrong, named SolarWinds Real-Time Bandwidth Monitor, that is supposed to monitor the bandwidths in my network, so this way, I could see if anyone from my family is maybe downloading something they do not know of, and I could finally get an explanation. I can't write to my ISP support because it is always later at night and their online chats are not available and plus, they have been very unhelpful so far with my other problems, so I need your help. Everyday my internet works fine, all day I have the speed I am supposed to have, which is about 40 mbit/s (yes, it's low for my location, but still okay.)Įvery night lately the speed declines to about 2 mbit/s and I have no idea why.
